Coalition Seeks Donations

Persons interested in contributing monetary donations to the Coalition can now do so. Checks or money orders can be made out to: 'CNPSR', and in the memo section add: 'Donation'. Send donations to the Coalition (address in the left column). Or, use the convenient PayPal button, also in the left column. The Coalition of NPS Retirees is a tax-exempt organization, so donations are tax-exempt to the extent allowed by law. Donations to the Coalition will be used to further goals outlined in its Strategic Plan.

About Us

We are all former employees of the National Park Service (NPS), numbering nearly 731 with more joining us each day. Many of us were senior leaders and many of us received awards for stewardship of our country's natural and cultural resources. In our personal lives, we come from the broad spectrum of political affiliations. As park managers, rangers and employees in other disciplines, we devoted our professional lives to maintaining and protecting our national parks for the benefit of all Americans - both living and those yet to be born. We know that many more of our former National Park Service colleagues, who have served under several different Administrations, both Republican and Democratic, agree with our concerns. We have served this country well, and our credibility and integrity in speaking out on these issues should not go ignored. We count among our members:

  1. Four former Directors or Deputy Directors of the National Park Service
  2. Twenty-three former Regional Directors or Deputy Regional Directors
  3. Twenty-eight former Associate or Assistant Directors at the national or regional office level
  4. Seventy-four former Division Chiefs at the national or regional office level
  5. One hundred and sixty-five former Park Superintendents or Assistant Superintendents

Full Member List as of September 7, 2009. Never before in the 90 year history of the National Park Service have so many retirees come forward to support the agency to which they devoted their professional careers.
